Format:  Interactive and visually rich online meetings are backed up by provocative homeplay assignments, an extensive manual loaded with creative exercises, and two drop-in calls where you can ask questions and learn from others in the Create On Purpose community.

• Each week, ThinkShop will introduce you to a different step in our creative thinking process - Focus, Imagine, Choose, Develop and Act.  At the end of each class, you'll be given a homeplay assignment to practice using your new skills.
• You'll bring a challenge or opportunity that you'll work on throughout the class.  At the end of the workshop, you'll have creative, actionable solutions and a plan for moving forward.
• All of the content will be presented in the context of relevant, real world examples.

Class Descriptions

Class 1 - Focus:  You’ll practice the critical and freqeuntly overlooked art of defining the challenge or opportunity you’d like to address with your brainstorming.  You’ll create a focus headline, criteria for success and clearly examine your goals.  Using an exercise called Thinking Upstream, you’ll explore key facts, beliefs and feelings about your challenge.

Class 2 - Imagine:  We’ll dive into brainstorming using Excursions, powerful and expansive tools for generating ideas.  In this divergent stage, we’ll participate in live demonstrations of many Excursions, while generating solutions for participant challenges.  You’ll leave class 2 with a beginning list of great ideas that you’ll add to during the week.

Class 3 - Choose:   We’ll begin to converge in class 3 as we explore a variety of ways to choose the top ideas that you’d like to develop into finished solutions.  Using your criteria, evaluation templates and your instincts, you’ll make a list of beginning ideas ranging from close-in concepts to ideas that expand your comfort zone.

Class 4 - Develop: Using our proven PCO process, you’ll transform your beginning ideas into real solutions.  By looking at the Pluses, Concerns and Opportunities for each of your top idea nuggets, you’ll fill in the details, anticipate and overcome potential roadblocks and evolve beginning concepts into complete solutions.

Class 5 - Act: Now it’s time to make your great ideas happen.  In this final class, you’ll learn several tools for visualizing the successful implementation of your ideas.  You’ll complete Action Plans for each of your top solutions.  You’ll make commitments to yourself and to the group to take the steps that will move your ideas forward.
